Recently I’ve been asked several times what Well-being coaching is and how people can benefit from it.
Problems and challenges in our lives can cause stress and this stress can lead to all sorts of problems like physical health issues, mental health issues, breakdown and burnout and Well-being Coaching can help us overcome these problems and challenges, hence making our lives less stressful.
We all innately have the answers to our problems and challenges in our subconscious but sometimes we are so bogged down with these problems that we can’t find a way through them. Some people may have a specific problem they want help with whilst others are just feel low, un-motivated and generally stuck in a rut. Well-being coaching can cover all areas of you life like Health, Work, Finance, Environment, Relationships and Nutrition and help you find solutions to any problems you have in these areas.
Well-being coaching uses certain tools to help you dig deep into yourself to find the answer. Some of the tools that can be used to help you solve your problems include:
- The Web of Well-being. This helps you look at each area of your life to see if you are satisfied you are with it. Then in subsequent coaching session any problem areas can be looked at.
- Values Elicitation. This helps you to find out what you value most in your life. This is important because if you are not honoring your values then you may find that you are uncomfortable with some of the decisions you have made.
- Visualisation. This is a very powerful tool and can be used in many ways. To help you see yourself achieve the goal that you have been working towards, which can improve focus and motivation.
